Science, but without a lecture theatre. Instead, with a festival atmosphere? That’s exactly what’s in store for you on 25 September at the premiere of “Geistesblitz Bochum – The Knowledge Festival around the Haus des Wissens”.

With “Geistesblitz Bochum – The Knowledge Festival around the House of Knowledge”, we – together with over 30 partners from the worlds of science, the city and civil society – invite you to experience research right where people come together: in the heart of Bochum city centre. AI, sustainability, social cohesion or life in the city of tomorrow – on this late summer evening, the city centre will become a hub for knowledge, future-oriented topics and social interaction.
From 4 pm to 10 pm, a wide range of diverse events for young and old alike will take place throughout Bochum’s city centre. Look forward to talks, workshops, city walks, exhibitions, hands-on activities, experiments, DJ sets, delicious food and much more. Together, we’re putting together a colourful programme that’s guaranteed to have something for everyone.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re currently studying, have studied in the past, or haven’t had much to do with universities and the like so far. It doesn’t matter whether you’re out and about with friends or as a family. If you fancy trying new things and striking up conversations with interesting people, there’s something to discover around every corner at Geistesblitz!
