UniverCity:
Who or what is that?
We are UniverCity – the interdisciplinary and cross-institutional knowledge network in Bochum. Together we live the idea of working together. We are convinced that the social challenges of our time can no longer be solved with isolated islands of knowledge. Quite the opposite:
Strategic planning for the future requires innovative forms of cooperation as well as a close alliance between science, city administration, business and civil society. Our aim is to provide new impetus for an open culture of innovation and transfer, thereby strengthening Bochum as a city of knowledge in the long term.
To this end, we focus on open innovation processes, the development of innovation ecosystems and knowledge-based urban development, co-creative event formats and interdisciplinary cooperation. The best example of this is our close collaboration with the Haus des Wissens in Bochum. . We are guided by the Bochum formula: Knowledge. Change. We-feeling. Because we are certain: Together we achieve more than alone!
