UniverCity Bochum e.V. is a unique network in Germany that brings together the city of Bochum, seven universities, research institutions and other partners. The aim is to strengthen Bochum as a city of knowledge, promote innovation processes and develop co-creative event formats.
We are looking for a committed person to take on organizational, communicative and coordinative tasks to support our team in implementing our vision.

Your area of responsibility
Event management:
Planning, organization and implementation of dialogue-oriented and innovative event formats (digital and analogue)
Room and catering coordination as well as creation of schedules and deployment plans
Event advertising and registration management
Communication and public relations:
Support with press relations and maintenance of social media channels
Development and implementation of communication measures
Administrative coordination:
Supporting the management in scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings and taking minutes
Organization of travels, hotel bookings and general administrative tasks
Support with controlling, financial and payroll accounting
Your profile
Must-haves
Completed commercial training (e.g. office clerk, tax clerk) or Bachelor’s degree with a focus on social sciences, event management, communication or comparable qualification
Experience in the organization and implementation of events
Confident handling of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Very good written and oral communication skills in German
Organizational talent with a precise and structured way of working
Strong communication skills and enjoy interacting with different stakeholders
Willingness to work flexibly, ability to work in a team, high social competence and organizational skills
Hands-on mentality and willingness to maintain an overview even in stressful situations
Nice-to-haves
Knowledge of press and public relations work
Experience in social media management
Interest in familiarizing yourself with new topics such as open innovation processes
Basic knowledge of English
